Award-nominated writer and journalist, Nikki Aaron, has worked in both print and broadcast media for over a decade. Starting out as Entertainments Editor of her university magazine, she went on to gain broadcasting experience with the BBC and ITV. In 2006, she was head-hunted by an independent production company and went on to produce and present a number of documentary features for UK television.
Nikki currently works as presenter and reporter for RT International news channel, fronting some of the most momentous news events in recent years, from the Brexit vote, to the French and German elections. Nikki also broke the news of the death of Fidel Castro, leading hours of special coverage, analysis and debate on the topic.
She formerly presented the World News programme on CNC World. In 2012, Nikki was nominated for a Golden Eagle Award, China's equivalent of an Emmy, for a feature in which she became one of the few western journalists to interview the family of the Dalai Lama.
In 2010, Nikki launched Beijing's first and only monthly bilingual fashion and lifestyle magazine, MetroStyle.
Nikki is fluent in spoken Chinese Mandarin, and is now getting to grips with the Russian language.
