Nikki currently works as presenter and reporter for RT International news channel, fronting some of the most momentous news events in recent years, from the Brexit vote, to the French and German elections. Nikki also broke the news of the death of Fidel Castro, leading hours of special coverage, analysis and debate on the topic.

She formerly presented the World News programme on CNC World. In 2012, Nikki was nominated for a Golden Eagle Award, China's equivalent of an Emmy, for a feature in which she became one of the few western journalists to interview the family of the Dalai Lama.

In 2010, Nikki launched Beijing's first and only monthly bilingual fashion and lifestyle magazine, MetroStyle.

Nikki is fluent in spoken Chinese Mandarin, and is now getting to grips with the Russian language.
